I guess there's good loonies, like "Loony Tunes" and Wavy Gravy, and bad loonies, like John Wayne Gacy. I know some people that have been around for very long feel that "on topic" conversations seem to be cyclical and everything that can be said on topic has already been said, but I think I disagree with that.

Jobygoob,
I agree with your disagreement that "everything that could be said on a topic has been said" since even though the questions are the same those answering them are different.

In one way, the answer-ers are different because there are forumites that were not here the first time the question was asked. This gives us "new" blood. Which also has a double meaning since it seems a high percentage of new forumites are younger Heads. Heads that were not yet in first grade when Jerry died. I think they bring a different perspective to the mix than those who grew up spinning vinyl.

And, the other way is that the answer-ers have "evolved" since the last time the question was asked. I've been here for about 8 years (I used to have a different handle (NO!! I wasn't/ain't Kochman (or, even telephone toughguy,))) and I know my tastes have changed; my knowledge has increased exponentially (Before I got here, I thought a quodilibet was like a Tibetan yak or something.) I would answer a call for my favorite "TOO" differently now than I would have when I first arrived or, even, two years ago.

Sugaree opener and nice 17 minute He's Gone, and a very Jerry TOO.

We should ask Rose about any Tibetan Yak sightings...maybe she uses one on a treadmill to generate power?

I'll bet Monte DH has a picture of Al Gore riding one on the beach while he reviews the tarballs.

The Mutt Romney Blues track is all I have.

Share the "real story" of Mitt Romney's dog, who was locked in a crate on top of Mitt's car for hundreds of miles. He's now singing the truth — while playing a mean blues guitar. Song is courtesy of Ry Cooder. Video was produced by Robert Greenwald, Brave New Films. Just released today!
